FEMINIST VIDEO SHORTS
MARCH 25
6 - 8 PM
BCA CENTER, SECOND FLOOR

Curated by Stella Marrs & DJ Hellerman

Join us for a special presentation of feminist inspired video shorts in celebration of Women’s History Month. Co-curated by Stella Marrs and DJ Hellerman, the shorts program provides an opportunity to examine ideas of gender, race, and class through an interrogation of pop culture, celebrity, domesticity, and sexual orientation.

Stella Marrs is an interdisciplinary artist whose work addresses feminism, ecology, and the female voice. Marrs has made large scale, collaborative, event-based works such as Girl City and 100 Women Dinner Party that are cited as seeds for later Riot Grrrl culture. She was commissioned to create a video installation for the 2013 BCA Center exhibition Seat's Taken. DJ Hellerman is Curator and Director of Exhibitions at Burlington City Arts.
