Jenni Johnson at BCA Summer Concert Series

August 21, 2019, 12:30PM - 1:30PM

Burlington City Arts' Summer Concert Series presented by VSECU features Jenni Johnson and the Jazz Junketeers on August 21.

Jenni Johnson has been described as "a renaissance woman" in the many articles written about her in the Burlington Free Press, Seven Days, Vermont Woman the Rutland Herald, as well as for newspapers across the lake in New York State. Born in NYC's Harlem Hospital and raised in the Big Apple, she now resides in Burlington, VT.

Jenni's full, smooth voice offers an ideal format for the collection of American jazz classics, as well as, blues, swing, and funk music. You will be mesmerized by her unique style and versatile renditions. She'll have you smiling from your soul, while your feet dance happily to the beat.

Burlington City Arts' annual summer concert series presented by VSECU kicks off on June 12. All are welcome to enjoy 22 free concerts, this year on lower Church Street near City Hall. The series takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 p.m. from June 12 to August 28. We've programmed a line-up that features both our local favorites and some from further afield that may be new to you. It's an excellent opportunity to listen to new music, have lunch with a friend or co-worker or enjoy being outside with your community, supporting live music.

As of May 1, sponsors include VSECU, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Dubois & King, Church Street Marketplace, NBC 5, 104.7 The Point, and Seven Days.
