Rick Norcross at BCA Summer Concert Series

Burlington City Arts' Summer Concert Series, presented by VSECU, features Rick Norcross on July 24.

Rick Norcross, longtime singer-songwriter and leader of Vermont’s premier western swing band, Rick & The All-Star Ramblers, performs original songs about life in Vermont, set smoothly into the western swing style of folk music. Many of his songs are lighthearted snapshots of a lost Vermont. The Academy of Western Artists (AWA), based in Gene Autry, OK, honored Rick as writer of the “Western Swing Song of the Year” at the 19th Will Rogers Awards in Dallas, TX in 2016. He’s the subject of a biography, Riding My Guitar - The Rick Norcross Story, written by noted Vermont author Stephen Russell Payne.

Burlington City Arts' is bringing music back to Church Street – safely – with our annual Summer Concert Series. All are welcome to enjoy these free concerts by Vermont musicians on lower Church Street, near City Hall. The series takes place on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 p.m. For many of the musicians featured in this summer's series, these concerts will mark their first gig in many months, so go cheer them on!
