Of Land and Local

"A layered location is replete with human histories and memories, place has width as well as depth. It is about connections, what surrounds it, what formed it, what happened there, what will happen there."

Once They Were

Once They Were was an invitational group exhibition featuring tri-color prints designed by 15 different artists.

Kate Donnelly: A Period of Confinement

Kate Donnelly, recipient of the 2013 Barbara Smail Award, displayed work created during her summer residency at Burlington City Arts. Using performance, video, and sound to explore the notion of our everyday mundane actions, Donnelly examined the unremarkable, largely forgettable routines of everyday life that she referred to as periods of confinement.
