Gary Hall
Gary Hall is an internationally-published architectural and fine arts photographer, whose architectural photography has garnered numerous design awards. An affiliate member of the American Institute of Architects, he has been on assignment for clients such as the prestigious Relais & Chateaux group of small hotels and was recently awarded a fellowship to spend a month photographing the ancient hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio, Italy. He also photographed for the best-selling book ADIRONDACK STYLE, which features contemporary interpretations of rustic-style architecture.
Gary’s past jobs have taken him to Africa shooting aerials for a helicopter safari outfit, flying across Tanzania to make eco-tourism images of luxury tent camps and island villas, to Costa Rica and the Bahamas to promote small quintessential hideaways, and boating along the coast of Panama capturing the beauty of tropical island retreats for celebrity jet-setters.
His luminous B&W landscape prints grace the halls of many corporate buildings and in the stylish homes of private collectors. These prints are exhibited frequently and can be procured through the Edgewater Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont, the Metro Gallery in Burlington, Vermont, or directly from the photographer himself.
Gary studied fine arts photography at Southern Illinois University under the tutelage of Charles Swedlund, a student of Aron Siskind. From his birthplace and home in Vermont, USA, he has been exploring the landscapes of the lush Champlain Valley for over 40 years now. He is the proud father of three accomplished sons, is a printmaker and jazz guitarist.
