ECHO and Burlington City Arts are soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or firms for the design and fabrication of two (2) art installations for a new public space to be located on ECHO’s northern campus known as “Energy Commons.” Energy Commons will explore our past, present, and future relationship to energy through interactive experiences and social connection.

DEADLINE 1 : August 21, 2017: Large scale, Iconic highly visible focal point for Burlington's waterfront. Budget $50,000-$80,000. 

Estimated Timeline
August 21, 2017: Preliminary proposal concepts due

August 28, 2017: Finalists selected (finalists receive $2000 honoraria)
October 2, 2017 (TBD): Finalists submit full proposals
October 6, 2017 (TBD): Contract awarded.
Fall 2018: Installation

 

DEADLINE 2: July 17, 2017: Bike rack that creatively interprets Energy Commons' themes. Budget $8,000-$15,000.
Estimated Timeline
July 17, 2017: Proposals due
August 14, 2017: Proposal chosen/contract awarded
Fall 2018: Installation
