THE NINTH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF FOOLS

JULY 29-31, 2016

BUSKING, MUSIC, AND CONTINUOUS LAUGHS FOR ALL AGES!

Join presenting sponsor Merchants Bank and audiences of all ages for continuous laughs with world class street performers, comedians and musicians in the heart of downtown Burlington, Vermont. This year, the fun and laughs stretch through the Church Street Marketplace, City Hall Park, Vermont Comedy Club, The Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, Red Square, North End Studios, and beyond all weekend long! Busking acts will envelop the Marketplace and City Hall Park from Friday night to Sunday evening, along with a variety of free and ticketed events.

The festival kicks off with an epic evening on Friday, July 29 with:

  • parade starting at 5 p.m. down the Church Street Marketplace to City Hall;
  • followed by the ultimate party band Red Baraat with a 6 p.m. free show in City Hall Park and SNAFU! at 8 p.m. inside at Contois Auditorium;
  • Eddie Izzard is on the main stage at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts;
  • and ’30 Rock’ alum Judah Friedlander is at the Vermont Comedy Club (also performing again on Saturday);
  • and so much more!

On Saturday, July 30 catch:

  • buskers throughout the Farmers’ Market starting at 10 .am. and free performances and music all afternoon in City Hall park;
  • the Vermont Vaudeville at 8 p.m. in Contois Auditorium;
  • a free double feature movie night by Ben & Jerry’s at the Top of the Block;
  • and so much more!

And for Sunday, July 31 the festival wraps with:

  • the return of Kids Rock The Park with music and activities for kids, followed by the the Last Laugh Variety Show in City Hall Park;
  • busking acts up and down the Church Street Marketplace and a wrap party at Radio Bean;
  • and so much more!

All weekend, catch street performers, buskers and musicians all over! There’s something for everyone!
