Flicks in the Park

BCA's Jazz Lab is part of the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, presented by New England Federal Credit Union.

Don't miss a special Flicks in the Park, with concert pianist ELEW accompanying the Smithsonian‘s Yellowstone Park Documentary Fire and Ice under the stars in City Hall Park. Winter in Yellowstone is like nothing else on Planet Earth. Driving snow and temperatures 50 degrees below zero collide with spewing heat from subterranean forces, creating dramatic, otherworldly displays. Embark on a journey over vast blankets of snow, through sparkling prisms of “diamond dust,” and across rivers warmed by geothermal springs.

ELEW, is an American jazz pianist known for his unconventional and physical playing style, which eschews a piano bench and includes reaching inside the piano lid to pull at the strings directly, as well as the creation that he calls "Rockjazz", a genre that takes the improvisational aspect of jazz and threads it through the eye of the needle of rock.

Grab your friends, some popcorn, and a picnic blanket to take in a movie under the stars for this quintessential summer experience, every Thursday at dusk.

2022 City Hall Park programming is underwritten by the Pomerleau Family Foundation. Flicks in the Park has support from American Flatbread Burlington Hearth, Monarch & the Milkweed, and Point 2
