Anthology, from the Greek word anthologia, which means 'a collection of flowers', is composed of hundreds of preserved flowers gathered by neighbors across Burlington. Flowers are suspended in resin mid-bloom, while sunset colored shadows change throughout the day with the movement of the sun. Inspired by the way we use flowers to both celebrate joy and commemorate loss, Anthology embodies what is fleeting yet enduring–the persistence of beauty and the certainty of change.

This project was supported beginning to end by artist Marie Davis, whose fabrication expertise and care were essential to bringing Anthology to life.

Additional Fabrication assistance by Artisan Engineering, Industrial Four Inc., and Vermont Plastic Specialties Inc.
