CURRENT BCA CENTER EXHIBITIONS
BCA has served the cultural and artistic needs of the Greater Burlington area for more than 30 years. Our vision is to fuse a dynamic relationship between the arts and community, to nurture creativity and imagination, and to ignite a passion for learning through the arts. We run a range of arts programs from The BCA Center and throughout the city, and have established The BCA Center as one of the few exhibition spaces in the state dedicated to showcasing contemporary art. Our commitment to accessibility enables us to present an integrated series of art experiences that help set us apart from other art centers across the country and cement Burlington’s reputation as one of America’s most livable cities for the arts.
The BCA Center features 3 floors of Contemporary artwork in permanent gallery spaces. Floor 1 and 2 feature contemporary work in all mediums from around the world and right here in Vermont. The 4th Floor houses the Vermont Metro Gallery, featuring a regular roster of contemporary Vermont based artists. MORE >>>
The Vermont Metro Gallery at the BCA Center presents and sells the artwork of Vermont artists working in a wide variety of contemporary media, with a focus on artists who are underrepresented in the Vermont market. Burlington City Arts arrives at this new venture through a mission-driven need to support Vermont artists and evolve Vermont's brand for the visual arts. MORE >>>
Our corporate art program comprises a comprehensive database of artists and samples of their work. From this database, clients may choose to purchase and/or to lease artwork.
The leasing program is available to clients who have publicly available space with room to exhibit. Artwork may be chosen either by the client or by our curatorial staff who then professionally install work on a rotating basis to ensure a continuously stimulating and appealing environment. MORE >>>
Art is an integral part of the fabric of a city. It helps tell the story of the city, creates a unique sense of place, contributes to neighborhood vitality and stimulates new economic activity. The Art in Public Places program supports the development of art in the public realm that is creative, well crafted and integrated into the physical, cultural and historical context.
