The Thaya Zalewski Quartet (TZQ) is a group of jazz musicians based in unceded Abenaki land. TZQ borrows from Black, afro- and indigenous American jazz practices. The group seeks to amplify the role music plays in building community and storytelling. Zalewski’s playing and vocals are influenced by the tenor sax lineage, Klezmer music, and beat poetry. He invites you to experience the joy, healing, and delight that sharing music in community brings.
