Community Carving Sessions: Main Street Block Party Steamroller Printmaking
Help create a one-of-a-kind community artwork for Burlington's Main Street Block Party! Join a collaborative carving session and work alongside local artists to design and carve a block inspired by Burlington, Main Street, and the people who make our community vibrant.
In celebration of the reopening of Main Street, Burlington City Arts is partnering with S.D. Ireland for a live steamroller printmaking event on Saturday, July 18 as part of the Main Street Block Party. Community-created blocks printed on the street using actual construction equipment, transforming Main Street into an outdoor print studio.
No printmaking experience is necessary—all materials, tools, and instruction will be provided.
The finished blocks will be printed live during the Main Street Block Party, a two-day celebration on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 featuring live music, family activities, local businesses activations, public art tours, and more.
Wednesday, July 1 | 1–3 PM | Muddy Waters
Thursday, July 2 | 5–7 PM | Bar Renée
Wednesday, July 8 | 10 AM–12 PM | Vermont Comedy Club
Come make your mark and help commemorate a new chapter for Main Street!
