Our Water, Our Future: A Story of Memory, Stewardship, and Continuity
2026
235 Penny Lane, Drinking Water Plant
Created by Juniper Creative Arts in collaboration with youth apprentices through BCA’s Artist Apprenticeship Program, this mural traces Burlington’s relationship with water across past, present, and future. From the impacts of historic land use to the interconnected systems of drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and emerging green infrastructure, the work highlights the importance of bringing nature to the forefront of how we manage and care for water. It reminds us that we have a shared responsibility: the choices we make today will shape the environment we leave to future generations.
