To continue to foster a robust, healthy, creative community, support artists, and encourage innovation through the arts, BCA administers a grant fund of $35,000 from the City of Burlington. The purpose of the fund is to support artists’ and small arts organizations’ projects that contribute to the public good through a competitive grant process.
Burlington City Arts has an all-encompassing, non-juried database of regional artists to provide greater access and exposure to the arts. This database is constantly expanding and we encourage you to become part of our program.
Burlington City Arts is proud to host a Visiting Critic program designed to connect Vermont artists with influential arts writers, institutional curators, and commercial gallerists. The program will bring distinguished art world individuals to Vermont to conduct one-on-one studio visits and to give a lecture that is free and open to the public. The Seven Below Arts Initiative Artist-In-Residence Program was established to foster artistic development and to support arts education in the state of Vermont. Seven Below, in partnership with Burlington City Arts, is pleased to request proposals for six-week residencies at The Barn near Burlington, Vermont. The residencies are designed to provide artists with a peaceful, inspiring, and supportive environment for individual and/or collaborative new work. MORE >>>
