The Wet Ones! are a Vermont-based power trio performing original surf music at blistering volumes and speed. Comprised of lifelong acolytes of the traditional surf sound and longtime regulars of the Burlington music scene, the group formed in 2018 and recorded their first reverb-doused record, Tombstoning, in 2019. Their latest record, The Monster of Jungle Island, provides the thunderous soundtrack to a short B-horror movie of the same title, which the band filmed on Vermont’s Burton Island for a budget of $0. The band is presently composing their next opus.
