BCA Development Director
Burlington City Arts (BCA) is seeking an experienced development director to join our dynamic arts leadership team. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating development activities and services provided by Burlington City Arts that serve the greater Burlington cultural community. Specifically, the Development Director designs and implements the development plan, manages direct fundraising and development marketing, and assists in long range planning to support BCA’s annual and capital fundraising efforts. The position is also responsible for volunteer and staff supervision within the development division.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the arts and BCA’s mission, a fast learner, have a track record of success in multiple fundraising categories, have experience managing staff to meet development goals, enjoy creating new community relationships, have excellent written and oral skills, and be experienced using donor database systems. Knowledge and background in the arts is a plus and desire to build a healthy, vibrant community through the arts a must. This position runs seasonally aligned with youth, teen, and family programming, with specific consideration for summer camps running June 17-August 16, with a break July 1-5. BCA Seasonal Teaching Assistants
Burlington City Arts is seeking energetic, dependable, and outgoing individuals to assist with BCA’s youth and family programs in studio and gallery education for ages 6-17. This position will work closely with BCA teaching artists and education staff to provide critical assistance to help our programs run with ease and efficiency. This position runs seasonally aligned with youth, teen, and family programming, with specific consideration for Summer Camps running June 17-August 16, with a break July 1-5. This position must be available, on-site, for Summer Camps; individual schedules and shift assignments are flexible within the programming hours of 7:30am-5:30pm.
This position requires someone with a flexible, energetic, and can-do attitude. We seek candidates who have experience and/or enjoy working with children and families, who take initiative, and who are enthusiastic, friendly, highly organized, and dependable. Basic arts experience in areas of focus including studio arts, printmaking, pottery, photography, digital arts, and/or jewelry preferred. The position begins with a mandatory training meeting, onboarding, and orientation. Union Affiliation: Non-Union Pay Grade: $18.59 Hourly
