Painting, printmaking, photography, and collage are the avenues Finkelstein uses to explore nature and imaginary places and creatures.  The beauty of color and texture are the guides in her art making. She describes herself as being inspired little things around her as well as the sky above and the trees nearby.

Finkelstein learned processes using ecological colors - eucalyptus, rust, and indigo. The artist works with fabric, paper, and stitchery.
