Community Spotlight: Swing Jam
City Hall Park

Community Spotlight

City Hall Park was created for the community. With that focus in mind, Community Spotlight features a re-occurring lineup of local arts groups every Tuesday evening. In 2022 we are proud to be supporting Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum TheaterBurlington Taiko, Swing Dance Jam, and Soulshine Power Yoga. Welcoming these groups to the park, supporting them with event production and marketing, and giving them the chance to connect with new audiences is what Community Spotlight is all about.

Gotta dance and swing? Swing Jam is here! Come join us by the fountain while globally renowned Legends of Vinyl DJ Ritchie Conti and National Dance Champion David Larson invite you back out onto the dance floor. Yes, that's right, a dance floor in City Hall Park.

There's a mini swing lesson at 6:30, which is easy to learn and fun to share. At 7, DJ Richie Conti’s Repertoire of swing dance musical styles continually brings dancers of all ages onto the dance floor for a non-stop eclectic flow of swing dance fun.

2022 City Hall Park programming is underwritten by the Pomerleau Family Foundation and The WaterWheel Foundation. Community Spotlight has support from City Market, Onion River Co-op.
