"My name is Migmar Tsering. I am a Tibetan American who was born in Tibet, raised in India and now serving the great Queen City, “The City of Burlington”.

Since childhood, I had a special attachment towards music and dance but due to circumstances, I could not pursue a career in music. Nevertheless, my passion for music never wavered. I taught myself how to play the traditional Tibetan Instrument called Dranyen (Tibetan Lute) and now it has very much become a part of me.

After coming here to America in the year 2011, I have become a musician, a singer, a songwriter, a composer, a teacher, and a dance instructor. If I put it all together, I have now become a Vermont Artist who is ever willing to share his art; that is Tibetan music songs and dances with all other Vermonters.

This is all I have and this is all I can give."

A staple of City Hall Park in the summertime, this series brings 24 free lunchtime concerts with a broad lineup of locally renowned acts to the park.
